WEDDING SONGS
I frequently get asked ‘what song shall I walk down the aisle too?’ ‘What shall we have our fist dace too?’ or ‘What shall we end the night with?’ There is no doubt about it, Wedding music is a hot topic and something that the bride and groom should think about very carefully.

I have compiled a short list of things to think about when choosing wedding music as well as a few examples and favourites.

Walking down the aisle.
My first tip is LET THE LADY DECIDE. Grooms your say in choosing this music is minimal!
Recently there has been a large craze of walking down the aisle to beautifully re-worked versions of chart music. I have seen brides walk in with Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey and even DJ Sammy. My Personal Favourite is the Vitanim String Quartet version of Snow Patrols ‘Chasing Cars’. This string version of the slow rock song is elegant and popular, you can have your favourite pop song as well as pleasing the delectate ears of your relatives. Or you could do something completely different like the people in this video!

The First Dance.
This should be a special song as it will defiantly be one of the most memorable moments of your wedding. Normally couples choose their favourite song, the song they had their first kiss too, that special song that makes you feel all loved up inside. But remember this is something you are going to have to dance too . . . in front of your friends and family. So don’t choose the prodigy or led zeppelin. However saying that these guys got it spot on with ‘Baby Got Back’!

Songs to End the Night.
Some people book DJ’s for their reception others book bands; however don’t be afraid to request a song to end the night on. This is the last song of your wedding the ending to your special day. Some people like to go out with a bang with ‘Thriller’, ‘Ain’t no mountain high enough’ or ‘white wedding’. Some prefer to have a pop-tastic classic such as the classic Dirty Dancing theme song, Whitney Houston ‘I will always love you’, ‘We are family’ or even the ‘Dancing Queen’ by Abba.  My personal favourite and recommendation is the Housemartins with ‘Caravan of love’, it’s cute, its cheesy and its classic!
