Unconventional Weddings

When you think of a wedding you stereotypically think of a church, a bride in a white dress, a groom with a lovely tux, maybe a top hat and wedding photos that are clean and crisp with a beautiful landscape background. But what if you don’t want that?

What if you are obsessed with a retro lifestyle and want a 1950’s dress? What if you want your wedding photographs to be bold, powerful and unique? Everything that you could possibly want to make your wedding that little bit more unique can be found at Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride. I came across this website whilst trying to find wedding photographers that offer unique services to brides. This website hosts an abundance of information for brides who dare to be different.

This Bride dared to have her wedding photos in a scrap yard, and even though the background is bold and outstanding, it still do

esn’t take away from the beauty of the bride! This sort of wedding style is obviously not for everyone and has a very niche market, but I

would defiantly recommend having a look at this site if you want some information on how to match your wedding to your outrageous personality.

This is another example of a couple who wanted a gothic/burlesque themed wedding. Although this may sound quite dark and ‘un’ wedding like, the use of colours is outstanding. The rich colours give the photos an amazing inviting feel and the bride looks like a 1940’s Hollywood star! This blog is truly inspirational for brides who like Gothic/retro/rock’n’roll and any other niche styles and want to transfer their styles into their weddings.

I think these weddings can defiantly be classed as ‘modern art’. I see a concept of love followed by a theme of passion which boldly represents a brides dream. This photoshoot entitled ‘Abandoned, Overgrown and Fabulous’ really captures the brides imagination. This photo shoot is enchanting it’s a colourful imaginative journey into what I assume to be how the bride imagines her perfect fairytale wedding to be.
